Duffy's 'Stepping Stone'

I recently heard snatches of a hauntingly beautiful song. It reminded me of Rose Royce’s ‘Wishing on a star’ from the seventies, a song that has powerful nostalgia for me. I found out it was Duffy’s ‘Stepping Stone’. I pulled up the video and the lyrics and saw and heard Duffy for the first time. What a voice, what a song, what lyrics!
